Cute lil family place with breakfast all day and the best pie in town. Cozy and clean and a great view of the water across the street. Friendly staff and a must stop by when going through St Clair MI.

The place is very dated and needs to be modernized in a big way. The staff, which there are too many to count because there were at least 10 servers on the floor when we ate there and there were only 10 customers, like to hang out near the register and talk and gossip. This is all fine and good when there is no one in the place to serve, but while there are warm bodies in the seats, maybe they should refrain from hanging out and maybe 3 servers are enough!!! They switched servers on us in the middle of our eating, not because there was a shift change, but because they rotated or something!! The food was OK, nothing I would go back for that is for sure, but they also have pies, and a big pie store on Hall Rd., but somehow when we were there, no one offered pie, suggested pie or even hinted that the pie was good. We sat right next to the small pie display case, and if they are known for pie, they only have like 4 in the case. Maybe spaghetti shouldn't taste like it has canned sauce on it, and a meatball is the easiest thing in the world to make and so are Italian Sausages, which elevate a dish... not here... if they need help making a real tasty sauce that is unforgettable and will bring back customers, I will teach them how to do this.. because right now, Chef Boy R Dee is winning this race with them.

I stumbled upon this awesome little restaurant on my way through downtown St Clair! I never go through the town when I go to my sisters but was so glad I did this time. Everything I've ever taste by Atchaz is amazing. I live by Atchaz burgers in St Clair Shores and love it! I'm not far From the pies and now went here for lunch and was blown away at the turkey & stuffing soup and the lunch specials were great! They are priced exactly right and like I said the food was tasty if you love flavor!!! I highly suggest you go here! I also had a slim Jim and my sister had the smothered chicken breast with a cup of soup and mashed potatoes and gravy. Te other soup offered that day was beef barley. They were both delicious but I loved thanksgiving and that to me was thanksgiving in a bowl! Scrumptious! I had never heard of turkey and stuffing soup but knew it sounded right up my alley and it was. I would definitely I here again and am taking my family next time. My sister will also be having many more lunches at this new find! You should go and enjoy some scrumptious food too!!!!

I like heading here for pie and coffee with my sweetie. Our trip here was a nice quiet way to end our vacation. He had the Strawberry Rhubarb and I thought I would give the sugar-free Pineapple Cream Cheese a try. Both were deeelicious, but of course they were... they were Achatz pies!!

It's nice to go out to a place and sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee with dessert. And not just any dessert but Achatz pies!!! Although the service was okay the pies are delicious. We had a varity of pies and shared with our group cause we didn't know which one to have. They were all great!!

Had traditional breakfast. Food was very good. Service was ok. This is a great place for a family meal without breaking your wallet. Very well kept and clean. The bathrooms could use updating but it is an old building.

A cute homey little stop with specialties such as fried chicken, swiss steak, meatloaf and baked salmon. Basic pastas like mostaccioli and fettucini alfredo. Sides such as potato pancakes, sweet potato fries or buttered noodles. In the morning you can get your eggs with some very nice cheesy potatoes. Things seem to rotate but I am by no means a regular, I just visit when I am in town. Homestyle hearty type fare in good portions at low prices. Relaxed small town type atmosphere. Service is friendly, personable yet efficient. I have sampled in here and find most of it decent, there is occasional tasty but nothing that will wow you or knock your socks off until dessert. It is St Clair though and it is not a food mecca. The beauty here is in the pies. Their peanut butter pie is so creamy and amazing, the strawberry rhubarb is sweet and slightly tart perfection. Family faves include the banana split and the pineapple coconut. All have flaky and beautiful crusts. Mmmm. Side note, this is kind of where Grant Achatz of Alinea in Chicago honed his chops (it was actually a different building), it is owned by his dad. His mom is the pie person and runs her baking company out of several locations, I still like stopping in here for a piece..

Nice little family place. Good service and nice local atmosphere. The beef noodle soup was great. The hot hamburger which I was assured was favorite was good but more the kind of dish you would find at a cafeteria. Great local place I'm sure and not a bad choice for someone passing through
